Olimpia Zagnoli's 'Isolotto' Modular Furniture Donated to Peter Pan ODV

Olimpia Zagnoli presented 'Isolotto,' a modular archipelago of lightweight EPS furniture, at Cantiere Galli in Rome. The project, created in collaboration with Poliart, consists of 12 elements in three colors (red, green, violet) and two heights for adults and children. It was unveiled during the fourth edition of Cantiere Galli Design's 'Incontro' format, which connects designers, companies, and social organizations. 'Isolotto' is a donation to Peter Pan ODV, a Rome-based charity supporting children with cancer and their families. The furniture is designed to be movable, interactive, and playful, evoking Peter Pan's Neverland. Zagnoli's graphic language—soft shapes and bold colors—translates into functional, social design. The pieces are made of high-density expanded polystyrene with polyurethane resin and micro-embossed texture. The project emphasizes play as a form of care, resisting static institutional furniture.
