Olfacta Project Opens in Turin with Allemandi and Gnata Duo Show
The newly founded Associazione Olfacta Project, established by olfactory artist Francesca Casale, inaugurated its space at Piazza Teresa Noce 17 in Turin on June 6, 2026, with the duo exhibition “Strade a doppio senso” featuring artists Carola Allemandi and Lorenzo Gnata, curated by Filippo Mollea Ceirano. The exhibition integrates olfactory compositions by Casale, based on sandalwood notes described as “lattiginose” (milky), designed to evoke memory and multisensory perception. The space is lined with bubble wrap that holds the fragrance. Allemandi presents digital photographs from her series “Notturni” (2018–2019), printed on Fine Art cotton paper, exploring light, space, and perception through refraction and dissolution of urban night landscapes. Gnata contributes new silicone rubber sculptures, including “Leave me here, please” and “Impotence,” created with 3D pen and PLA filament, that engage with the surrounding environment. The exhibition runs through July 6, 2026, by appointment.
