OHLAB's Casa Tramuntana: A Fragmented Mountain Retreat

OHLAB has completed Casa Tramuntana, a 450 m² residential project in 2025. The house retreats from the urban landscape to inhabit the mountain through a silent, fragmented, and almost buried architecture. By rejecting prominence, it proposes a way of life that cultivates dialogue with the terrain and redefines the relationship between nature and domesticity. The project was led by Paloma Hernáiz and Jaime Oliver, with technical support from Jorge Ramón Monegal and a design team including Rebeca Lavín, Loreto Angulo, Silvia Morais, Elisabet Fábrega, and Laura Colomer. General contractor was Construcciones Ageitos, structural engineering by DICAES, and project management by About Living. Photographs were taken by José Hevia.
