Office of Tangible Space redesigns East Hampton home with light-filled addition
The Office of Tangible Space, recognized as one of AN Interior’s Top 50 architects and designers for 2025, has successfully renovated a family retreat in Springs, New York, for textile designer Caroline Z. Hurley and clothing designer Alex Crane. Previously, the firm had worked on the couple’s Altadena residence before it was destroyed by the Eaton fire. This renovation involved reorienting the home and constructing a new 600-square-foot addition featuring white wood slats. This space includes a new entryway, mudroom, and sunroom, with expansive glass walls that allow ample natural light. Pebble Studio Design acted as the architect of record. The property offers views of Three Mile Harbor and is designed to be durable for a young family while fostering creativity.
