NOTNOT Architects Completes Hapjeong Artplex in Seoul
NOTNOT Architects has completed the Hapjeong Artplex, a mixed-use building in Seoul's Hapjeong-dong district. The project, led by architect Hojung An with design team Seungkyu Jung and Junghae Kim, covers 1,802 square meters and was finished in 2024. Located near the YG Entertainment headquarters by UNStudio, the Artplex sits at the convergence of Hongdae, Sangsu, and Mangwon neighborhoods—a culturally and commercially vibrant area. The building blends into a pluralistic urban context where old residential fabric meets fast-paced contemporary commerce. Structural engineering was by Sen Engineering Group, MEP by GM Engineering, and general contracting by Giro Construction. Photography by Kyungsub Shin.
