Norino Shi, an award-winning digital artist originally from China and now based in New York, creates works that examine philosophical questions about existence, mortality, and the cosmos. Her practice encompasses digital illustration, experimental short films, and installation sculpture, often featuring female figures in vibrant, surreal environments alongside monochromatic line drawings. Shi studied illustration at the School of Visual Arts and digital arts at Pratt Institute, and has professional experience in graphic design and media roles in both the US and China. Currently, she works as a freelance illustrator and coordinates programs for an independent women's bookstore and publishing agency, describing herself as a global citizen aiming to construct imaginative realms free from temporal and spatial limitations.
