Noisy Room Projects Debuts with Run Pony Run at Peckham Rye

Curatorial collective Noisy Room Projects launched its first exhibition, Run Pony Run, in the disused Old Waiting Room at Peckham Rye from 29–31 May 2026. Founded by Amabelle Chandra, a Goldsmiths Fine Art and History of Art student, the collective aims to support commercially 'difficult' artworks—unwieldy installations, ephemeral performances, and politically or materially scandalous pieces. The exhibition emerged from an open call that drew over 300 submissions from London-based and international artists. Curated by Chandra with collaborators Anjalee Chowdhury, Lindsey Blaser, and Ariunzaya Batkhuyage, the show featured works by Beth Simcock, Kristýna Polívková, Zhaochen Chen, Megan Tatem, Annabel Quick, Olivia Lloyd-Sherlock Arribas, Mia Roberts, Madzia Zalewa, 32, Zoey Chang, and Joana Duarte. Themes of movement and freedom, inspired by the Year of the Horse, ran through the exhibition. The collective charges a £10 exhibiting fee and provides additional support through interviews, studio visits, and portrait shoots. The space's ambient noise—commuter trains, chattering crowds—became part of the experience, with sound pieces by Arribas and Roberts adding to the restless atmosphere.
