Noel Gallagher's Oasis 'Wonderwall' Guitar and Elvis Presley Bible Headline Sotheby's Music Memorabilia Auction

A signed Epiphone EJ-200 guitar played by Noel Gallagher on Oasis hits 'Wonderwall' and 'Champagne Supernova' is expected to fetch £59,500 ($80,000) at Sotheby's in New York. The instrument was used during the recording of the band's 1995 album '(What's the Story) Morning Glory', which also included tracks like 'Don't Look Back in Anger' and 'Some Might Say'. A handwritten lyric sheet for 'Don't Look Back in Anger' is predicted to sell for £29,750 ($40,000). Meanwhile, a red electric guitar owned by Elvis Presley, played on 'Blue Suede Shoes' and first used during his 1968 television 'Comeback Special', could reach up to £1.4 million ($2 million). Also up for auction is a small zip-up bible adorned with a picture of Presley and his mother Gladys, who died in 1958. Other notable items include Bruce Springsteen's acoustic guitar used to write 'Born to Run', David Bowie's handwritten lyrics for 'The Jean Genie', and a rare piece of Keith Moon's iconic 'Pictures of Lily' drum kit from The Who. Oasis returned to the stage in 2025 for a reunion tour.
