Nitsche Arquitetos Completes Casa Itu on a Sloped Corner Lot in Brazil

Casa Itu, a 490 m² residence by Nitsche Arquitetos, was completed in 2025 on a corner lot with a slope facing a pleasant landscape and oriented north, the most favorable solar orientation in the region. The project, led by responsible architect Lua Nitsche, began with an extensive site selection process: after months of visits and analysis of different plots, considering topography, solar incidence and surroundings, the team chose the corner lot. The house is located in Itu, Brazil. Project coordination was handled by Bárbara Mühle. The wooden structure was designed by ITA Engenharia, while Taguá Engenharia e Construção carried out the construction. Landscape design was by Caterina Poli Paisagismo. Aluminum frames were supplied by Jmar Esquadrias De Alumínio, and lighting design was by Fernanda Carvalho Lighting. Photographs were taken by André Scarpa.
