Nina Katz's Larger Than Life Portraits Combat Anti-Trans Rhetoric

Nina Katz, an artist, created a series of nine large portraits titled "Larger Than Life: Portraits of Transgender People," which premiered in early 2020 as a reaction to rising anti-trans attitudes. With a teenage daughter who is transgender, Katz believes that keen observation fosters understanding. These portraits will be displayed at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco during the 2026 SF Pride Annual VIP Party on June 28, 2026.
