NIKO JUNE's Bouquet Theory transforms industrial waste into collectible design
At the Other Circle gallery in Copenhagen, NIKO JUNE, a Danish studio, is presenting an exhibition called Bouquet Theory. This display includes various items like cast glass tables, wooden stools, drinking glasses, and sculptural works made from recycled industrial materials, old molds, and steel profiles. Each piece tells a story about its materials' industrial past. The large glass tables were created by pouring molten glass seven or eight times into molds made from bent scrap metal. They sit on aluminum bases with self-leveling feet for easy movement. Additionally, there are six sturdy wooden stools, carved from tree trunks with chainsaws and grinders. Founder Johannes Timo highlights the studio's creative approach to transforming industrial waste into distinctive craft objects.
