Nikken Sekkei Designs Nursery School for Kurashiki Central Hospital
Nikken Sekkei has completed the Miwa Nursery School, an on-site childcare facility for Kurashiki Central Hospital in Okayama, Japan. The 908-square-meter building, finished in 2023, replaces an aging and undersized predecessor. The design prioritizes harmony with the neighborhood's orange-tiled streetscape, using low eaves, horizontal lines, and soft-toned roof tiles to blend with adjacent hospital, nursing school, and preventive medicine plaza.
