Nicolas Brunetti's 'Inshallah' Project Portrays Youth in Ceuta's El Principe Neighborhood

Nicolas Brunetti, an Italian documentary photographer from Cesena, has launched a project called 'Inshallah,' which highlights the experiences of young people in El Principe, a neighborhood in Ceuta, a Spanish city on the North African coast near Morocco. This project aims to bring attention to young Arabs with Spanish citizenship who face issues like social exclusion, unemployment, and discrimination. Through cinematic techniques, Brunetti captures portraits and landscapes that delve into the challenges of borders and limited opportunities. He formed connections with locals Ismael and Hadil before taking their photos. Brunetti has participated in workshops with well-known photographers like Fulvio Bugani, Federico Borella, and Antonio Faccilongo, and his work has been featured in Vogue. He has also received several awards, including the Patricia D. Richards Legacy Award for 2025. Brunetti plans to create a dummy of 'Inshallah' and start a new project in Italy that will focus on migration and belonging.
