Nick Jones opens St. Clement hotel on the Thames in London

Nick Jones, founder of Soho House, has opened St. Clement, a new hotel on the Thames in London. The hotel is part of the 180 Quarter development by British entrepreneur Mark Wadhwa. Interiors by London-based Eagle + Hodges avoid over-dressed luxury, featuring vintage furniture by George Nakashima and Jean Royère, and a Richard Horwood 1799 plan of the City of London. All 90 rooms include complimentary non-alcoholic minibar snacks, free laundry, and steaming. The 4,000 sq ft penthouse has a chef's kitchen, library, and wraparound terrace. Food venues include Café Clement by chef Danny Bohan and Bobbi's Bar with a sound system by Devon Turnbull. Future openings include Lunette, chef Florence Knight's first solo restaurant, in September, and a Health Club & Spa with a 25m pool. Jones aims for the hotel to be a regular destination, not a one-time novelty.
