NAZA, Documentary on Israeli Military Intelligence, Opens in Mexico
Following their Oscar win for Best Documentary with No Other Land (2024), Rachel Szor and Yuval Abraham unveil NAZA, which includes accounts from 24 Israeli military intelligence personnel. The interviews, conducted on Tel Aviv rooftops, disclose their involvement in assaults on Gaza, which the filmmakers label as genocide. NAZA stands for nezk agavi (collateral damage), highlighting anticipated civilian casualties during military actions. The film debuted at the Venice Film Festival, where it earned the Special Jury Prize, and was produced by Jonathan Glazer, featuring a score by Mica Levi. It is set to release in 36 Cinemex theaters on October 22, after screening at the Morelia International Film Festival, and will be available at Cineteca Nacional Xoco starting October 23.
