Nathan Storey: Queer Archives, Print, and Memory
Nathan Storey, a multidisciplinary artist, educator, curator, publisher, and poet, investigates the connections between printed materials and themes of queer desire, memory, and loss, particularly in the context of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising through the AIDS crisis until 1995. Residing in New York, his studio creations are showcased in 'Off the Page' at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder. In 2024, he established UNDERTOW, Colorado's inaugural queer print press, now located in Brooklyn, aimed at uplifting LGBTQ+ artists through various programs. Storey's curatorial endeavor, 'RUINS: PERFORMING QUEER HISTORY', recently had its third showing at East Window in Boulder, with previous exhibitions in Denver (2025) and San Diego (2026).
