Nakimushi Opens in Notting Hill with Japanese Menu and Warm Pine-Lined Design
A new Japanese dining establishment, Nakimushi, has launched at 7 Kensington Mall, London W8 4EB. Chris D’Sylva, who has been involved in Notting Hill since 2019, oversaw a £2m conversion of a townhouse. The restaurant is operated by chefs Robin Kosuge and Yuji Shimokawa Kelly, known for their work at Robin’s Ramen and Urchin, featuring ramen on the ground floor and an expanded menu on the upper level. Designed by Jack Architecture & Design, the venue showcases a preserved brick exterior with deep red highlights. The ground floor boasts an open kitchen and communal seating, while the upstairs accommodates 25 diners. Menu favorites include chashu pork belly ramen, corn tempura, and grilled Ibérico pork loin. Ben McCormack provided a review for Wallpaper*.
