Nadège Dauvergne Paints Constant Bourgeois Fragment at Orléans Nursery School
At the Guernazelles nursery school in La Source, Orléans, Nadège Dauvergne has finished a mural inspired by "Paysage d'Italie" by Constant Bourgeois, housed in the Musée des Beaux-Arts d'Orléans. Rather than duplicating the entire painting, she selected a portion of the landscape, employing her divisionist technique that reveals shapes when viewed from a distance. The mural includes sheep, which the children spotted from afar, demonstrating how the image takes form. Dauvergne frequently engages with local museum collections for her projects and collaborated with the museum on this piece, emphasizing themes of nature and ecology. This mural is part of a community initiative funded by Orléans's participatory budget, with wall paintings directed by Sacrebleu. Students observed her closely during the process.
