Muuto and Spacon unveil 'Close to Heart' chair for 20th anniversary
Muuto, a Danish furniture label established in 2006 by Kristian Byrge and Peter Bonnén, has teamed up with the Copenhagen design studio Spacon to create a limited-edition chair named 'Close to Heart' in celebration of its 20th anniversary. This chair, which will debut at 3 Days of Design on 10 June 2026, is limited to 150 units and crafted from extruded aluminium. The design incorporates heart-shaped profiles, selected by Spacon's partners Nikoline Dyrup Carlsen, Malene Hvidt, and Svend Jacob Pedersen. This initiative examines the evolution of tradition without leaning into nostalgia. The anodised aluminium enhances the heart motif's warmth, embodying Spacon's multidisciplinary ethos to 'spread some love' and evoke joy. The event takes place from 10-12 June.
