Mutiny Releases L-Bracket for Hasselblad XPan and Fujifilm TX-1, Centering Tripod Mount
Mutiny has launched a new L-bracket set designed for the Hasselblad XPan and Fujifilm TX-1/TX-2 film cameras, tackling the longstanding issue of the off-center tripod screw that has troubled users. Priced at $180 for the black anodized aluminum version and $350 for the solid brass option—crafted from a single block and significantly heavier—the bracket features a broad L-shape, an Apple AirTag compartment, and an Arca-Swiss compatible base with two centered mounting positions for various tripods. It maintains access to the battery compartment and allows the film door switch to be used without obstruction. The XPan and TX-1 create ultra-wide panoramic photos by using double-wide 35mm film, a feat that digital cameras cannot replicate. Mutiny's founders, both XPan or TX owners, highlight that this release comes two decades after the XPan II's discontinuation in 2006, reflecting the camera's lasting appeal.
