Museum of Values Exhibition Expands to East Slovak Gallery

On June 16, 2026, the East Slovak Gallery in Košice will unveil the Museum of Values project, which aims to articulate a visual representation of Slovak identity. Curated by Alexandra Kusá and Ondřej Horák, this exhibition expands upon a prior version held in Banská Bystrica. Utilizing the gallery's collection, it examines Slovak identity through various mediums, including paintings, photography, and multimedia works, highlighting Košice's urban culture and ethnic diversity. Featured artists include Mikuláš Alexandrovič Bazovský, Martin Benka, Ľudovít Fulla, alongside local talents such as Konštatín Bauer, Anton Jasusch, and Ján Vasilko. Additionally, a site-specific installation by Matej Fabian and Ivana Šáteková will be showcased. The interactive segment "The History of Slovakia," featuring Professor Hammy, will also return, promoting discussions on shared values and national pride without sentimentality.
