Museum of American Finance Opens in Boston with AI Hamilton

On July 3, the Museum of American Finance will launch at Boston's Commonwealth Pier, offering free admission to all visitors. Among its highlights is an interactive portrait of Alexander Hamilton, created using AI technology, which can communicate in various languages. The museum also showcases significant artifacts, including Hamilton's Society of the Cincinnati medal, a check signed by President John F. Kennedy, a 1912 Boston Red Sox stock certificate, and early American coins minted in Massachusetts. An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the museum features six galleries, including 'America in Circulation,' which focuses on historical currencies. President David J. Cowen emphasizes the museum's mission to enhance financial literacy and connect personal finance to U.S. economic history. This Boston venue marks a reopening after the original museum, established in lower Manhattan in the late 1980s, relocated to 48 Wall Street in 2008 and closed in 2018 due to flooding. The new location includes a dedicated 'Personal Finance' gallery.
