Museu Picasso Barcelona Hosts Family Workshop 'Imaginando identidades' Through February 2027
Glòria Vives, a Fine Arts graduate of the University of Barcelona with specializations in art therapy from UVic and illustration from Escola EINA, leads a family workshop titled 'Imaginando identidades' at the Museu Picasso in Barcelona. Drawing on movement, disguise and graphic experimentation, participants create characters through the body and observation, deliberately moving away from the notion of 'making it pretty' toward a freer, more intuitive and expressive approach. The sessions emphasize shared experience — complicity, play and discovery among family members and the wider group, with adults and children creating, observing and inspiring one another. Each workshop closes with a visit to the museum's galleries to examine figures in Picasso's works through this bodily and interpretive lens. The program is designed for families with children aged 6 and older. Sessions run on Saturdays 24 October, 21 November and 19 December 2026, and 16 January and 20 February 2027, from 17:00 to 19:00. General admission is 4.5 euros per person; Amics del Museu pay 2.25 euros. Reservations are made through the Museu Picasso website.
