Museo Universidad de Navarra Inaugurates 'En vivo y en directo: color, percepción y experiencia'
The Museo Universidad de Navarra (MUN) has opened 'En vivo y en directo: color, percepción y experiencia', an exhibition running from September 16, 2026, to February 7, 2027, in Pamplona. Curated by artistic director Gabriel Pérez-Barreiro with academic input from philosopher Nathaniel Barrett of the Instituto Cultura y Sociedad, the show inaugurates the museum's new thematic programming under its second decade. It explores color through art, philosophy, and science, featuring an international, multigenerational lineup. Josef Albers anchors the first room with serigraphs from 'Interaction of Color' (1963), published by Yale University Press and recently acquired for the MUN Collection. Carlos Cruz-Diez follows with 'Chromosaturation' (1965), 'Physichromie no. 1022' (1975, Colección BBVA), and 'Chromointerférence spatiale Paris 18 Pegaso' (2018, Colección Hortensia Herrero). Karina Peisajovich's 'RGB/CMY' (2011/2026), also new to the collection, contrasts screen and print color systems. Anoka Faruqee and David Driscoll present 'Interference Paintings' that create moiré effects, while Los Dalton's 'Línea' (2023–2026) involved thirty colorblind volunteers. An interactive Atrio space with butterflies from the Museo de Ciencias extends the show, which will be accompanied by a parallel natural-color exhibition opening October 8, a performance 'Resonancias' by Yaiza Pinillos and Olga Pericet on October 23–24, and interdisciplinary conferences, workshops, and artist talks.
