Museo Jumex Announces Fall-Winter 2026 Program with Richard Prince Retrospective

Museo Jumex in Mexico City has unveiled its fall-winter 2026 exhibition program, running from September 2026 to February 2027. The lineup includes a major Richard Prince retrospective, an immersive installation by Álvaro Urbano, and the first solo show in Mexico by Raúl Silva. The Richard Prince exhibition, titled 'Cuéntamelo todo,' is his first large-scale retrospective in Latin America, curated by the artist with chief curator Kit Hammonds, featuring over 130 works from the 1970s to the present, including series like Cowboys, Girlfriends, Jokes, Cartoons, Nurses, de Koonings, High Times, and Hoods. Álvaro Urbano's 'Helen' is a site-specific immersive installation for Gallery 1, inspired by the demolished Casa Cueva built by Juan O'Gorman (1948-1952), intertwining stories of O'Gorman, botanical illustrator Helen Fowler, and sculptor-architect Helen Escobedo. Raúl Silva's 'Gateway' is his first solo exhibition in Mexico, curated by Rosela del Bosque, focusing on media and technology's impact on economic and aesthetic changes during the 1990s telecom expansion, using Cancún as a case study. The museum continues its curatorial focus on major contemporary art figures, new commissions, and Latin American artists.
