Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga Hosts Acrylic Painting Workshop on Movement and Balance

The Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga is organizing a workshop titled 'El instante suspendido: El cuerpo en equilibrio' (The Suspended Instant: The Body in Balance), led by artist Daniel Parra. Scheduled for September 21, 2026, from 16:00 to 20:00, the workshop invites artists and amateurs with or without basic painting knowledge to explore how painting can capture movement and convey balance, tension, and rhythm. Participants will work with acrylic paints and live acrobat models, alternating between studying complex static poses and sequences of movement to synthesize the continuity of gesture and action. The workshop is divided into three blocks, each starting with a 20-minute theoretical/demonstrative session followed by a one-hour practical session. Materials such as brushes, professional acrylics, and supports will be provided by the organization, sponsored by Liquitex, and must be returned at the end (except for the support and a gift). Participants are required to bring a small plastic table and a lightweight foldable easel. The fee is 28 euros for the general public and 24 euros for Friends of the Museum.
