Mulgil Kim's Season-Inspired Gouache Paintings Head to Art Miami 2026 and Seoul Solo Show

artist · 2026-09-21

At just 24 years old, South Korean artist Mulgil Kim embarked on a remarkable journey, spending 673 days traversing 46 nations and producing more than 400 drawings for her initiative, Art Road. This endeavor evolved into National Art Road, showcasing gouache paintings that capture Korea's seasonal beauty—spring adorned with cherry blossoms and autumn filled with vibrant foliage. Her pieces, such as "Spring Surfing" and "Green Curtain," merge whimsical themes with seasonal motifs. Kim believes her artwork conveys nature's emotional richness, allowing viewers to discover their own narratives. She is currently working on new pieces for Art Miami in December 2026 with Maddox Gallery and a solo show in Seoul scheduled for April 2027. Additional creations include "Sleep Well," "Spring Cat," and "The Autumn Fox."
