Mount Bazaar Scaffolding Installation by People's Architecture Office at 2025 SUSAS

People's Architecture Office has completed Mount Bazaar, a three-dimensional scaffolding installation on Fuxing Island in Yangpu, Shanghai, for the 2025 Shanghai Urban Space Art Season (SUSAS). The 470-square-meter structure rises from the industrial site to form a mountainous public space that integrates commerce, leisure, and scenic viewing. The project was curated by Han Shuang, with chief curators Li Xiangning and Gao Changjun. The lead team includes He Zhe, James Shen, and Zang Feng, with design by Zhang Qiaochu and Zhang Meng. Structural consulting was provided by Liu Su of Beijing Shouang Architectural Structure Studio, and structural construction drawings were handled by Tongji Architectural Design (Group) Co., Ltd. Lighting consultant was Min Yuebo, and construction was carried out by Suzhou Shengyao Environmental Art Engineering Co., Ltd. Photographs were taken by whyseeimage and Yumeng Zhu.
