Moody Center for the Arts Unveils Tent Series Commissions by Anderson-Staley, Gaines, Robleto
Rice University’s Moody Center for the Arts has unveiled the seventh installment of its Tent Series commissions, showcasing local artists Keliy Anderson-Staley, Preston Gaines, and Dario Robleto. These installations will be featured at the Provisional Campus Facilities (PCF Tents). Initiated in 2020, this annual program invites artists to produce murals, with this year's focus on the intersection of memory and technology. A reception to inaugurate the exhibition is scheduled for Thursday, September 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. Anderson-Staley’s piece, 'Wilderness no longer at the edge of things,' incorporates family narratives; Gaines’s 'Floral Modulo' addresses themes of transformation and community; Robleto’s mural alludes to NASA’s Golden Record. The artworks will remain on display until July 31, 2027.
