Monty Don to Step Down from BBC's Gardeners' World After Two Decades

After more than two decades, Monty Don, the longest-serving presenter of BBC's Gardeners' World, will depart from the show at the conclusion of the current series. The 71-year-old began his journey in 2003, taking over from Alan Titchmarsh, and has featured in approximately 700 episodes. Initially, he worked from a rented garden in Stratford-upon-Avon, later relocating to his Longmeadow garden in Herefordshire in 2011. Don described his time on the show as 'deeply rewarding' and intends to pursue other projects with the BBC. Having made his television debut in 1989, he has hosted various programs, including Around the World in 80 Gardens.
