Modum Atelier Expands Office in Guochuang Park with Incremental Renovation
In 2024, Modum Atelier relocated its office to Guochuang Park. By 2026, the practice's growth necessitated additional space, prompting the team to occupy the adjacent bay. Using their own office as a testing ground, they engaged in a full cycle of urban renewal through an incremental, unplanned transformation. The project, designed by principals Zhou Ruizhe and Yang Junbo, covers 134 square meters and was completed in 2025. Photographs by Guowei Liu document the intervention. The architects sought to 'listen, look, and experience' the space from both designer and user perspectives, reflecting on continuity, legibility, and the existing environment. The expansion is categorized under office interiors and extension. The project was curated by Han Shuang and published on ArchDaily in Spanish.
