MNEK Scraps Bulldozer!! Tour, Citing Weak Ticket Sales and Production Costs
MNEK has decided to cancel his upcoming live performances next month for his second album, Bulldozer!!, citing disappointing ticket sales and a show that he felt was not "ready to the standard" he aimed for. The 31-year-old artist, whose real name is Uzoechi Emenike and hails from south-east London, shared this news on Instagram, emphasizing that he wouldn't tour unless he could deliver a quality experience. Tickets, priced from £30, will be refunded. He mentioned a growing trend of artists pulling out of shows due to "high production costs." Supporters included Zara Larsson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Becky Hill. Emenike, who began his publishing career at 14, has penned songs for Madonna and earned Grammy nominations, with his debut album Language released in 2018 and Bulldozer!! launched last month.
