Mjölk architekti Completes The Button, VAVI's Shirt Factory and Headquarters in Czech Republic

Czech studio Mjölk architekti has completed The Button, a 1,493 m² manufacturing facility and headquarters for the corporate clothing and shirt maker VAVI, with a completion year of 2025. The project was curated by Nina Vuga, with photography by BoysPlayNice and products supplied by Gerflor, Lamilux and LIKO-S. The design team comprised Jan Mach, Jan Vondrák and Anna Hrušová. The building combines workshop and showroom functions. VAVI traces its origins to Věra Vávrová, who gained experience at the Šumavan factory in Vimperk before launching small-scale shirt production with her husband. Jirka Vávra and Katka Jiroutová later took over the family business, expanding it into a respected Czech manufacturer of corporate clothing and men's and women's shirts. The company designs and produces its own collections and also offers bespoke tailoring for large companies and private clients, dressing entire corporate teams, including international ones, from management to operational staff. Production is concentrated mainly in Vimperk, supplemented by facilities in Prague and other locations, with a sustained emphasis on quality and craftsmanship. Mjölk architekti began collaborating with Vávra and Jiroutová several years ago, a partnership that led to the new facility.
