Miu Miu Taps Alice Diop for Art Basel Paris Public Program; Birkenstock Opens Berlin Flagship

For the third consecutive year, Miu Miu partners with Art Basel Paris for its Public Program, enlisting filmmaker Alice Diop to present Geste de Consolation at Palais d'Iéna. This exhibition, which takes place from October 21 to 25, with a preview on October 20, explores the portrayal of Black women across four spaces, culminating beneath Simone Leigh's bronze sculpture, Sentinel (Mami Wata). Registration for guided tours begins on October 8. In Berlin, a new large store by Birkenstock will open at Münzstraße 20 on September 16, 2026, showcasing a Grounded in Culture concept. Gucci Eyewear unveils its Fall/Winter 2026 campaign featuring new styles. MCM marks its 50th anniversary with a collaboration with LUAR at New York Fashion Week. KPM Berlin introduces Westberlin, celebrating Enzo Mari's collection, available starting September 18, 2026.
