Mithun, Waugh Thistleton, Skanska Plan Tall Mass Timber Office Tower in Bellevue
Mithun has teamed up with Waugh Thistleton Architects (WTA) to unveil plans for Bevel, a 12-story office tower made from mass timber in Bellevue, Washington. Developed by Skanska, this project aims to rank among the tallest mass timber office buildings in the U.S. Bevel will offer 200,000 square feet of office space and feature a sleek, tapered glass facade with a side-core design to maximize open areas. Rising to 180 feet, the tower will include an exposed timber framework, stormwater management, native landscaping, and fully electrified systems, targeting LEED v4 Platinum certification. With construction potentially kicking off before late 2026 and completion expected in 2028, Craig Curtis from Mithun highlighted the cost-effective and aesthetic benefits of mass timber construction.
