MISE EN Warsaw Opens 'The Orange and The Rope,' Four Artists on Distorted Time
From October 3 to October 25, 2026, MISE EN will host The Orange and The Rope (Pomarańcza i Sznur) at ul. Niekłańska 34/4 in Warsaw, under the curation of Marianna Łomża. The exhibition features unique pieces by artists Paulina Gutkowska, Cyprian Szablak, Ała Wierzbicka, and Amelia Woroszył, who delve into distorted daily realities and the concept of non-linear time. The exhibition's title draws inspiration from Louis Aragon's 1926 work, Paris Peasant, highlighting the contrast of disparate elements. Wierzbicka's bronze casting of her body, Gutkowska's photographic exploration of transience, Szablak's delicate glass works on addiction, and Woroszył's examination of the tension between dreams and reality will be showcased.
