Miró's Majorcan Revolution at Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró

The Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró in Palma de Mallorca is presenting an exhibition that explores the transformative period Joan Miró spent on the island of Majorca. The show, titled "La révolution majorquine de Miró," examines how the artist's move to Majorca in 1956, where he established a new studio designed by his friend Josep Lluís Sert, marked a radical shift in his practice. The exhibition brings together over 100 works, including paintings, sculptures, and ceramics, many of which have never been shown together before. It highlights Miró's experimentation with materials and his engagement with the landscape and culture of Majorca. The exhibition runs from July 10 to October 31, 2026, and is curated by María José Salazar.
