Mingardo: A Metal Workshop Bridging Craft and Design
Daniele Mingardo, born in 1988, took over his father Ilario's metal workshop in Monselice, founded in 1970, and transformed it into the Mingardo brand. The workshop previously served architects like Carlo Scarpa and Aldo Parisotto. Daniele launched the 'Designer Faber' collection, featuring furniture and accessories by Federica Biasi, Alessandro Stabile, and Objects of Common Interest. The company generates €1 million annually (75% abroad) with ten employees. In the 1,500 sqm workshop, father and son work side by side on custom projects for design studios and general contractors. Surface treatments like acid etching and galvanization are outsourced. Daniele also collaborated with Philippe Malouin on 'Doppia Firma', a project by Fondazione Cologni, Living-Corriere della Sera, and Michelangelo Foundation, uniting design and high craftsmanship. Complex projects include the Brett Vini Naturali wine bar in Bassano del Grappa.
