Min Yoon's First Major Solo Show at Kestner Gesellschaft Reworks Language, Time and Measure

exhibition · 2026-09-16

Running until November 15, 2026, the Kestner Gesellschaft in Hannover showcases "A Pronoun of B," the inaugural solo exhibition by South Korean artist Min Yoon. A graduate of both the University of Applied Arts Vienna and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Yoon delves into the dynamics of art creation and institutional frameworks via drawings, paintings, and sculptures. The exhibition's title, "B," represents personal space and is evident in Yoon's modifications to the institution’s nameplate. Featured are site-specific installations, including figurative sculptures and a 400-square-meter wooden structure, alongside discussions on censorship through embellished children’s books. Curated by Eva Birkenstock, a limited edition of 14 oil paintings is available solely through Kestner Gesellschaft.
