Miller Hull and Woods Bagot Complete $400M Seattle Airport Expansion

The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport has unveiled the C-Concourse Expansion, a $400 million endeavor by Miller Hull Partnership and Woods Bagot. This new addition boasts a slanted roof equipped with solar panels, expansive glass windows, and a striking stair atrium. Notably, it is the airport's inaugural all-electric structure and features the first airside public outdoor area, aiming for LEED platinum certification. The expansion introduces four additional floors, enlarging the concourse from 81,000 to 230,000 square feet. Wendy Reiter, the Managing Director of SEA Airport, highlighted the challenges of space as the airport accommodates the 11th highest passenger volume. Enhanced amenities include dining options, kiosks, a sensory room, and a nursing area, all designed to reflect the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
