Michelangelo Pistoletto Major Exhibition at MUSAC León in November

Michelangelo Pistoletto (Biella, 1933), a key figure of Arte Povera, will have a major exhibition at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León (MUSAC) starting November 2025. Curated by Álvaro Rodríguez Fominaya, the show spans nearly seven decades of production (1957–2025) and occupies over 2,000 square meters. It features around fifty works including paintings, installations, sculptures, performances, videos, and his famous Quadri specchianti (mirror paintings). The exhibition avoids a conventional retrospective format, centering on the mirror as a conceptual axis. Key works include Venere degli stracci (1967), Oggetti in meno (1965–66), Laberinto (1968), and recent pieces from Terzo Paradiso (2003) and Mirror of Eternity (2025), which incorporates AI to create changing portraits of visitors. This is the largest exhibition dedicated to Pistoletto in Spain in 25 years.
