Michael Kenna Retrospective 'Constellation' Opens at Le Kiosque in Vannes

exhibition · 2026-09-15

From November 27 to March 7, 2027, Le Kiosque, located in Vannes harbor, will host 'Constellation,' a retrospective featuring the work of British photographer Michael Kenna, in celebration of the Bicentennial of photography. The exhibition will display 60 silver gelatin prints selected from a collection of over 4,000, highlighting landscapes from northern England, France, ethereal seascapes, and trees in Japan. This event is made possible due to Kenna's generous donation in 2022 of original prints, negatives, and his complete archive to the French State. Born in 1953 in Widnes, England, Kenna graduated from Banbury School of Art and the London College of Printing in 1976. His works are part of prestigious collections, including the Bibliothèque nationale de France and the National Gallery of Art. The exhibition is curated by Sabine Troncin-Denis.
