MIAS and Musée Picasso Launch 2026 Research Residency

Key facts

• The Madrid Institute for Advanced Study (MIAS) and the Centre d'études Picasso at the Musée national Picasso-Paris are jointly organizing a scientific research residency in 2026.
• The residency lasts three months, non-renewable, between November 1, 2026, and July 31, 2027.
• Eligible applicants must hold a doctoral degree and have an excellent career in arts, humanities, social sciences, or law.
• Candidates must have good knowledge of at least two languages among English, French, and Spanish.
• Research themes include global modernities, Picasso's connections between Spain, Paris, and Latin America, and receptions of Picasso.

• Accommodation is provided at Casa de Velázquez (Madrid) and Collège d'Espagne (Paris), with a meal allowance of 5 euros per day.
• The residency can be split between Madrid and Paris, with travel between them reimbursed up to 200 euros.
