Miaki Atelier: A 28m² Office Nestled in Ehime Forest
Tamotsu Teshima Architect & Associates completed Miaki Atelier, a 28-square-meter office building in Ehime, Japan, in 2022. The small structure is quietly nestled within a forest near the headquarters of a timber company. The client was drawn to the distant mountain views and envisioned building on the site, which had only a small area of level ground constrained by a steep slope behind it. Careful study was required to determine appropriate architecture for the terrain. The project was curated by Miwa Negoro, with structural engineering by KMC. Photographs were taken by Tomoyuki Kusunose.
