Met Police Drop Case Against Bobby Vylan Over IDF Chant

The investigation by the Metropolitan Police into punk rapper Bobby Vylan, whose real name is Pascal Robinson-Foster, has reached its conclusion, and no further action will be taken regarding the chants of "death, death to the IDF" during the Al Quds Day rally in central London on 15 March. The police recognized the concerns expressed, especially from Jewish communities in London, and consulted the Crown Prosecution Service for initial guidance. After reviewing this advice, they decided against any further action. The Met reiterated its commitment to working with community leaders to ensure the safety of Jewish residents. Robinson-Foster, part of the duo Bob Vylan, stated on social media that he would not be cowed by potential legal threats. This incident follows a prior investigation by Avon and Somerset Police concerning similar chants during the band's June 2025 performance at Glastonbury Festival, which also ended without action. The BBC has upheld some complaints regarding Bob Vylan's performance, leading to senior staff being instructed to 'step back' amid related controversies. The duo remains under scrutiny for their provocative political messages.
