Meliana Announces 30th Art Biennial with €4,500 Prize for 2026

The Meliana City Council in Valencia has launched its 30th Art Biennial, an open call for artists of any nationality. Each participant may submit a single work in any technique or style, with recommended dimensions between 50 centimeters and 2 meters for sculptures, installations, and paintings. Submissions must be delivered in person or by courier to the Culture Service-IMC building at Plaza de la Cultura, 4, 46133 Meliana from April 15 to 17, 2026, between 9:00 and 15:00 hours. Required documentation includes a participation request, identification, a photograph of the work, and a downloadable technical sheet. A single €4,500 prize will be awarded, subject to legal withholdings and paid via bank transfer. Selected works will be exhibited at the Culture Service-IMC Exhibition Hall starting April 24, 2026, with the jury's decision and award ceremony scheduled for May 29, 2026. The exhibition runs until June 12, 2026, though dates may be modified. Non-winning works can be retrieved from May 4 to 8, 2026, and selected works from June 15 to 19, 2026, at the same location. Artists must present proof of registration for retrieval, and the organization is not responsible for packaging or damage during return. Works not collected within one month after these periods will be forfeited, with the Culture Service-IMC deciding their fate.
