Mélanie Faucher's Glass Lace Reinvents Stained Glass in Lyon

Mélanie Faucher, a stained glass artist born in Landerneau in 1986, studied at the Ateliers des Beaux-Arts de Paris from 2010 to 2013. Her artistic style, shaped by influences such as Wim Delvoye and Matisse, was refined through apprenticeships with master glassmakers, culminating in her CAP vitrail certification in 2014. In 2017, she established Atelier Faucher, specializing in both contemporary and traditional stained glass. Her innovative "dentelle de verre" project received the Fondation nationale Banque Populaire award in 2025. Faucher produced stained glass for the Bron church from 2020 to 2022 and contributed to the Librairie La Ruche project in Maisons-Alfort in 2021. She is set to showcase her work at Le Carreau du Temple on October 8-9 and at Atelier Faucher in Villeurbanne.
