Meg Webster Creates Sculptural Perfume for Comme des Garçons in Collaboration with Dia Art Foundation

In a groundbreaking collaboration, American sculptor Meg Webster has partnered with CDG Parfums and the Dia Art Foundation to create a unique fragrance, marking the first time a visual artist has worked with the perfume house. This initiative aligns with Webster's upcoming solo exhibition at Dia Beacon in 2024. Over a span of two years, she collaborated with perfumer Emilie Coppermann and the late Christian Astuguevieille, drawing inspiration from the themes 'Forest. Rock. Soil. Flesh.' The fragrance features notes of carrot seed oil, patchouli, geranium, tree moss, and Madagascar sandalwood. Webster also designed the polished silver tetrahedron bottle and packaging, which includes a pictogram representing relational encounters. The scent, Dia x Meg Webster, is sold at Dover Street Market and select CDG stores, with proceeds benefiting the Dia Art Foundation.
