Maya Golyshkina's Transformative Self-Portraits Using Everyday Objects

Maya Golyshkina, a self-taught artist based in London, creates theatrical self-portraits using household materials like cardboard boxes and bags. Born in Moscow, she began her artistic career at 18 and moved to London at 21, where her practice evolved into performative works. Her portfolio includes collaborations with London-based artist Ed Curtis on a hot-air-balloon sculpture and with Luncheon magazine for a food-themed series featuring paper creations. She has also worked with Marc Jacobs on an Instagram project involving oversized handbags.
