Mattel Releases Céline Dion Barbie Doll Recreating Her 1998 Oscars Look

Mattel has launched a unique Barbie doll paying homage to Céline Dion, which you can now pre-order on their website. The doll reflects Dion's appearance from the 1998 Oscars, where she performed "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic; that song won the Oscar for Best Original Song, while the movie itself took home 11 out of 14 nominations, including Best Picture. Dressed in a deep-blue turtleneck maxi, the doll comes with the "Heart of the Ocean" necklace, elegant earrings, and dark pumps, all styled with a classy late-90s updo. Created by Suim Noh and packaged by Laydiana Chiv, this doll joins Mattel's Signature Doll series alongside other legends like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. After overcoming health issues, Dion is back with a sold-out 26-show residency in Paris. She mentioned, "It's a true honor to join the Barbie legacy," hoping to inspire confidence and dreams in others. This release celebrates her remarkable 40-year career.
